Econwerks LLC operates from its home base in Madison, Wisconsin. Econwerks LLC was formed in 2023, and is a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Wisconsin. Econwerks LLC is a consultancy based on the premise of providing economic analysis dedicated to the spirit of using research to expand understanding with prime emphasis on utilizing an intellectually honest independent-of-economic-interests scientific method. Econwerks LLC operates the Econwerks.com web site.
About the business name. Econwerks LLC is a combination of the discipline of Economics with the German concept of an ongoing workshop of ideas, or Werks.

Econwerks LLC also participates in the Regulatory Reserves Network or RRN, an association of economics, audit, engineering and finance consulting operations engaged in objective knowledge transfer and implementation.

Randel Pilo is a lifelong practicing applied, practically-minded economist with a 35+ career in public service concentrating on utility regulation and business economic development. He has worked for the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin as Chief Electric Economist and as an Assistant Administrator of the Division of Energy Regulation as well as the Division of Regional Markets. His background also includes being the Lead Economist for the Wisconsin Department Development, or the state’s Commerce agency, focusing on improving and expanding business opportunities in the state of Wisconsin. Educational experience includes PhD studies sans dissertation at the University of Pennsylvania with Masters thesis written for Nobel Laureate Lawrence Klein, and undergraduate studies magna cum laude with Phi Beta Kappa distinction from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Randel has called Milwaukee, Philadelphia, and Madison areas home at times and likes MLB Baseball, his EV BMX bike, and visiting sandy ocean beaches.
